she really believed in me when i was so unsure of myself; from not being good enough for a job i wanted or not being confident enough to raise commission prices for my work, she would always give me the support i needed. i’m so devastated that i’m never going to be able to catch up with her again and hear about her family or updates on games we both played. she was so loved and had so much love to give.
Hey everyone, I know I’m not super active on Tumblr anymore but I felt it was important to come on and let everyone know some extremely sad news. It’s with a heavy heart that @engramplays and I have learned of @phoenixfg‘s passing.
On December 9th she updated us on twitter she was back in the hospital, and a few days later she passed. We didn’t learn of this news until today, and I’m not going to lie the news hit me like a truck. It took me all day to be able to make this post.
We’re going to be preparing a fundraiser for her family over the next week or two, but in the meantime, I’d appreciate if people shared this post to get the news out. She touched so many people’s hearts and was such a positive force in any gaming community she was a part of, not the least of which was The Sims community.
I would love to encourage anyone who feels up to it to share a story of their own about her.
i think everyone should watch Infinity Train.. You can get a free trial on HBO max or find other websites to watch it on if you can’t do that, but as of now the show is at risk of not continuing. The creator says he wants to go up to season 8, and has different themes and narratives he wants to touch on for each of those seasons, and it would really be a shame if we never got to see that…
If you haven’t seen Infinity Train, I highly recommend it. A lot of the characters struggle with very real and relatable issues while working it out in a fascinating sci fi setting. It’s also really short? Each season is only around 10 episodes, with those eps each being around 11 minutes.
Justin is in the clear but recovering from a traumatic brain injury + searching for legal options against the apd is expensive! If you can’t donate then please share for Justin and his family #HisNameIsJustinHowell
hey y’all. it would mean the world to me if you would share Justin Howell’s gofundme. We’re from the same area, and hearing about him on the news yesterday was like a punch to the gut. During a protest in Austin, Texas, Justin was shot in the head by an officer. He suffered a severe brain injury and is in for a long, long road of recovery. his family are accepting donations here for medical bills and more importantly, bringing the APD to justice. #HisNameIsJustinHowell
Night in the Woods and Oneshot are both in it, not to mention literally hundreds of other cool indie games I haven’t played yet that look really cool and promising.
Also I’d like to reiterate it is $5 minimum for over $3,400 worth of content, which is just fucking insane.
